If you have a donation product in your cart and at checkout see no shipping methods available, like here:
There are two things you can check to resolve this issue.
1. Locations
Let's make sure it's not a locations issue. Go to your Donation Product > Edit Options and enable all locations, like so:
If that doesn't resolve the issue, proceed to the next step.
2. Fulfillment & Shipping
If the above tweak didn't fix things, it's fully a shipping/fulfillment matter and that's resolved on the store end (as opposed to through Shop for Good). There are three options here that we suggest:
A) Admin > Settings > Shipping - set up one rate in Shopify for our donation product(s) for all countries. It won't be displayed or counted anywhere, but it is needed by Shopify. Make sure it affects only our donation products.
B) If your inventory isn't managed by Shopify, and you instead use a 3rd party inventory manager - change the inventory manager selector so that you also use it for our donation products.
C) Sometimes it has to do with where you're shipping your products from. Here's an example of BEFORE/AFTER settings - before, the store was getting an error and afterward it was resolved:
BEFORE (shipping only from 3rd-party service Printify):
AFTER (shipping from 3rd-party service Printify and also the address in your store settings):
Be aware that all themes are different and, thus, we can't say how this will affect fulfillment for your store. It’s possible that our automatic way might not work, or that your system might get stuck seeing our donations. So definitely test it out, ideally in a sandbox environment.
