Refunds and Donations: What You Need to Know

We only process full refunds. Our system does not recognize partial refunds, meaning the donation associated with the original order remains intact.


Once monthly invoices are being processed—on the 1st day of each monthno refunds can be made for those orders. This is because the donation process begins immediately, and funds are typically already sent to the charities.


Partial vs. Full Refunds

  • Partial Refunds:
    If a customer receives a partial refund, the donation amount from the original order is not adjusted or refunded. The donation stays as-is and is still charged to your account.

  • Full Refunds / Cancellations:
    If the full order is canceled and/or refunded before the 1st  day of the month, you will not be charged for the donation. Our system will automatically detect the full refund and remove the donation from your invoice.


CUSTOMER DONATIONS (Customer-Funded)

Donations made by customers are typically non-refundable unless processed as part of a full order cancellation or refund.  We recommend clearly stating this in your promotional materials and storefront messaging to set expectations.

  • You cannot refund just the donation portion of an order during a partial refund.

  • If a customer insists on a refund for their donation, please contact us immediately so we can ensure you're not charged when invoicing occurs.

  • For full order refunds or cancellations made before the 1st day of the month, you won’t be charged for the donation.


PORTION OF SALES (Brand-Funded Donations)

In Portion of Sales campaigns, donations come from the brand, not the customer. Therefore, there is no donation to refund to the customer.

  • If a customer returns part of their order, the donation amount is not recalculated, and your account will still be charged the full donation amount.

    Example:
    A customer buys 2 items for $100. You donate $10 (10% of sales). If they return one item, they get $50 back, but the $10 donation still applies.

  • If the entire order is returned and refunded before the 1st day of the month, we will adjust the donation amount accordingly and not charge your account.
